Interior Design & CRE Properties

An interior designer looks to integrate disparate components of her business (Residential Interior Design and Commercial Real Estate, or CRE) to create a more meaningful package for her differing customer bases. She seeks a more intuitive strategy for her current internal operations that translates to a simplified product, website, and design. The outcome is a services package tailored to her expertise and a niche in the market not otherwise filled.

- How do I integrate my CRE expertise and business with my interior design experience?

KEY QUESTIONS

- What gaps are in the market and how can I fill them to create a niche for myself?

- What type of user would want to use the full range of my services?

This is a personal project, and one of my first forays into strategic design as a career path. With experience in interior design, real estate investing, and finally as a licensed commercial real estate agent, I sought to combine these related, but separate fields into one comprehensive package for clients. Although I have been personally doing this service for myself for years before becoming an agent, I wanted to combine the different monetized areas of my personal brand, into a cohesive strategy and thereby create a niche in the market for myself. This involved coming up with overall business objectives and goals, and systems and operational design to combine three separate fields into one harmonious revenue stream. From there, I creating a brand guide and website using UX/UI design principles. Finally, I optimized current technologies to work as a seamless unit throughout the business development.
